Developer tools with MCP servers
Code hosting, issue trackers, error monitoring, databases and the rest of the dev stack. 22 of 24 have an official server from the vendor.
PagerDuty hosts an official remote MCP server at mcp.pagerduty.com/mcp, documented on its own sites and listed in Anthropic's directory as Anthropic verified with 64 tools. It supports OAuth or an API key. The older self-hosted server on GitHub is deprecated and archived, and the hosted one can create incidents and delete teams.
Atlassian publishes an official remote MCP server, the Atlassian Rovo MCP server, for Jira, Confluence and other Atlassian apps at mcp.atlassian.com/v2/mcp. It uses OAuth 2.1 and is listed in Anthropic's connector directory. Jira delete and project-admin tools are off by default, and tool calls use Rovo credits.
Linear hosts an official remote MCP server at mcp.linear.app/mcp, documented on linear.app and listed in Anthropic's connector directory as Anthropic verified. It signs in with OAuth 2.1 or a bearer token. Read-write by default, with a separate /mcp/readonly endpoint for read-only use.
Supabase publishes an official MCP server, hosted at mcp.supabase.com/mcp and open source at supabase/mcp, and it is listed in Anthropic's connector directory. It signs in with browser OAuth. The server can run SQL and migrations, so Supabase advises read-only mode and project scoping.
Postman publishes an official remote MCP server at mcp.postman.com, backed by the postmanlabs GitHub repo and listed in Anthropic's directory as Anthropic verified with 42 tools. It signs in with OAuth, or an API key for the EU and local servers. Minimal mode includes create, update and delete tools, and no read-only mode is documented.
WordPress has two official MCP routes from different publishers. Automattic's WordPress.com hosts a remote server (OAuth 2.1, paid plans) listed in Anthropic's directory. The WordPress.org core project publishes the self-hosted MCP Adapter, still pre-1.0. Automattic's older wordpress-mcp repo is archived.
Sentry hosts an official remote MCP server at mcp.sentry.dev/mcp, documented on its own site, built from the getsentry GitHub org, and listed in Anthropic's directory as Anthropic verified. It signs in with OAuth and can be scoped to one organization or project. No read-only mode is documented.
Vercel publishes an official remote MCP server at mcp.vercel.com, documented on vercel.com and listed in Anthropic's directory as Anthropic verified. It uses OAuth, works on all plans, and only allows clients Vercel has approved. It exposes a large catalog including deploys and purchases, with no read-only mode documented.
Context7 has an official MCP server published by Upstash (upstash/context7), available remotely at mcp.context7.com/mcp or locally via npx. It fetches current library documentation for coding agents. A free API key is recommended for rate limits. Caveat: the docs it returns are community-contributed, not vetted by Upstash.
GitLab has an official MCP server built into GitLab itself, documented at docs.gitlab.com and generally available since GitLab 19.5. Clients connect to your instance's /api/v4/mcp endpoint with OAuth or a fine-grained token, on Free, Premium and Ultimate. It includes write tools, and an admin must allow access first.
1Password publishes two official MCP servers: a local Environments server in the desktop app (beta) that lists environment and variable names but never returns secret values, and a SaaS Manager server with read-only remote access. A separate 1Password for Claude feature fills logins for Claude without exposing passwords.
LaunchDarkly hosts an official remote MCP server at mcp.launchdarkly.com/mcp/launchdarkly, documented on its own site. It connects with OAuth and covers feature flags, AgentControl configs and observability. It is not available on federal or EU instances, which use a local server, and it can create and delete flags.
GitHub publishes an official MCP server, github/github-mcp-server, available as a remote endpoint at api.githubcopilot.com and as a local Docker build. The remote server signs in with OAuth or a personal access token. It includes write tools such as merge_pull_request and delete_repository, so use read-only mode or limited toolsets.
Microsoft publishes an official Azure DevOps MCP server, both a hosted remote one at mcp.dev.azure.com and a local npm server, documented on Microsoft Learn and in the microsoft GitHub org. The remote server uses Microsoft Entra sign-in and is in preview. Claude Desktop cannot use the remote server; Claude Code needs a custom app registration.
Home Assistant ships an official MCP Server integration in its core repository, documented on home-assistant.io and added in release 2025.2. It runs inside your own instance at /api/mcp, signs in with OAuth 2.0 PKCE, and is admin-only by default. It exposes the Assist tools for entities you have exposed; Claude directory listing not verified.
n8n has an official, built-in MCP server (instance-level MCP) that exposes workflows you opt in to any MCP client, using OAuth or a personal access token. Separately, a popular community project, czlonkowski/n8n-mcp, offers node documentation and workflow management tools. Caveat: the community server can edit or delete production workflows.
Serena is itself an MCP server: a coding-agent toolkit published by the oraios organization, whose maintainers document it at oraios.github.io and in the oraios/serena repository. It runs locally over stdio or localhost HTTP with no sign-in. Its default tool set includes shell execution and file editing, and no general read-only mode is documented.
shadcn/ui ships an official MCP server inside its own CLI, documented at ui.shadcn.com and built in the shadcn-ui GitHub repo. It runs locally with npx shadcn@latest mcp, needs no login for the default registry, and its tools search registries and return add commands. No Claude connector was confirmed.
MathWorks publishes an official MATLAB MCP Server (earlier named MATLAB MCP Core Server) on GitHub, announced on its own blog. It runs locally over stdio and drives your installed MATLAB, with no sign-in of its own. It can run arbitrary MATLAB code on your machine and has anonymous telemetry on by default.
Docker publishes official MCP software: the Docker Hub MCP Server (a local server for searching and managing Docker Hub repositories) and the MCP Toolkit and Gateway in Docker Desktop for running catalog MCP servers. Neither is a remote hosted server. Docker's own docs do not list a Claude connector.
Hex-Rays publishes an official, free and open-source IDA MCP server (MIT) that runs locally through idalib and needs IDA 9.4 or later. It includes a tool that runs arbitrary IDAPython, so sandbox the agent. The older community project mrexodia/ida-pro-mcp is far more starred and now points users to the official one.
Apple documents an official MCP server built into Xcode. External agents such as Claude Code connect to it through the xcrun mcpbridge command after you allow external agents in Xcode's Intelligence settings. It runs locally on your Mac, needs the project open in Xcode, and lets agents modify the project and build. Apple does not publish the tool list.
no official KiCad MCP server is verified; KiCad's project organization on GitHub has no MCP repository, and the servers found are community projects. The most-starred, mixelpixx/KiCAD-MCP-Server, builds on KiCad's official IPC API and exposes board, schematic and routing tools. They run locally and can modify design files.
no official Ghidra MCP server is verified. Ghidra is published by the NSA, and its repository contains no MCP server we could find. The most popular option is GhidraMCP, a community project by LaurieWired: a Ghidra plugin plus a local bridge that exposes decompile, search and rename tools. It has no documented authentication.
