PagerDuty MCP server & Claude connector
Does PagerDuty have an official MCP server or Claude connector?
Official
As of October 2026, PagerDuty hosts an official remote MCP server at mcp.pagerduty.com/mcp, documented on its own sites and listed in Anthropic's directory as Anthropic verified with 64 tools. It supports OAuth or an API key. The older self-hosted server on GitHub is deprecated and archived, and the hosted one can create incidents and delete teams.

Setup
Claude Code
OAuth setup needs a static callback port and your OAuth client ID and secret.

Publisher verified
Documented on support.pagerduty.com and developer.pagerduty.com; the Claude directory lists it as Made by PagerDuty and Anthropic verified.

Auth model
Supports OAuth (static client credentials; no Dynamic Client Registration) and API keys via an Authorization header. API keys are long-lived, so prefer OAuth.
- Flag
Write and delete access
Directory lists create_incident, create_service, create_schedule, delete_team, delete_alert_grouping_setting and more. No read-only mode is documented for the hosted server (the old local server defaulted to read-only).
- Unknown
Tool-description injection scan
Hosted tool descriptions were not read; only the tool names on the Claude directory page. Docs pages contain only llms.txt index pointers.
- Unknown
Repo maintenance
The hosted service has no public repo. Its predecessor repo is archived (see the local integration).

PagerDuty local MCP server (deprecated)
PagerDuty · Runs locally · API key or tokenRead incidents, services, schedules and more (read-only by default) · Create or modify resources only with --enable-write-tools
- ⚠ Auth model: Long-lived PagerDuty user API token in PAGERDUTY_USER_API_KEY.
- ⚠ Tool-description injection scan: Mostly clean. One fallback message in schedules.py tells the model "Do not tell the user these schedules do not exist" when a lookup partly fails. Low severity, addressed to the AI.
- ⚠ Repo maintenance: Archived and read-only; README says it is deprecated in favor of the hosted server. Last push 2026-09-04, 79 stars, Apache-2.0.
