Design with MCP servers

Design tools, whiteboards and site builders your AI can read from or build in. 9 of 10 have an official server from the vendor.

MobbinOfficial

Mobbin publishes an official remote MCP server at api.mobbin.com/mcp, documented at docs.mobbin.com and in a github.com/mobbin repository. It signs in with OAuth and offers three search tools for screens, flows and sections. It is listed in Anthropic's connector directory as Anthropic verified.

FigmaOfficial

Figma publishes an official MCP server. The remote server at mcp.figma.com/mcp works with Claude, Cursor and VS Code using Figma sign-in, and a desktop variant runs locally. It reads designs and generates code, and the remote server can also write to Figma files. Free-plan and View seat usage is capped at six calls per month.

CanvaOfficial

Canva publishes an official remote MCP server, branded the Canva AI Connector, at mcp.canva.com/mcp, documented on canva.dev and listed in Anthropic's connector directory as Anthropic verified. It signs in to your Canva account with OAuth. A separate Canva Dev MCP Server serves app developers.

WebflowOfficial

Webflow publishes an official remote MCP server, documented on developers.webflow.com, with a github.com/webflow repository, and listed in Anthropic's connector directory as Anthropic verified at mcp.webflow.com/mcp. It uses OAuth per workspace and acts with your Webflow permissions. Some Designer features need a companion app open.

ExcalidrawOfficial

Excalidraw publishes an official MCP App server, hosted at mcp.excalidraw.com and in the excalidraw GitHub organization. It draws hand-drawn diagrams inline in Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code and other clients that support MCP Apps. No sign-in is required; one tool uploads diagrams to excalidraw.com for sharing.

draw.ioOfficial

draw.io (diagrams.net) has an official MCP server, published by JGraph in the jgraph/drawio-mcp repo. A hosted version at mcp.draw.io renders diagrams inline in chat, and an npm package, @drawio/mcp, opens them in the editor. It only creates diagrams. The hosted version receives the diagram content you send.

21st.devOfficial

21st.dev publishes the 21st MCP (formerly Magic MCP), a remote server at 21st.dev/api/mcp that searches a React component catalog and can generate UI. Setup and code are on its own site and GitHub repo. It uses a 21st.dev API key, and some tools, such as component retrieval and generation, are paid.

OnshapeOfficial

PTC publishes an official Onshape FeatureScript MCP Server, announced August 13, 2026 and offered through the Onshape Labs early-access program. It is a remote HTTP server that lets coding AI tools write, run and debug FeatureScript inside Onshape documents. It is FeatureScript-focused, not a general Onshape document server, and its auth and plan details are not published.

PaperOfficial

Paper (paper.design) documents its own MCP server, which lets an AI agent read and write your Paper design files. It runs through the Paper Desktop app or the Paper CLI over local stdio, with plugins published for Claude Code, Cursor and Claude Desktop. Authentication and the full tool list are not documented on the pages I read.

FramerCommunity only

no official Framer MCP server is verified. Framer's own docs say no separate MCP server is needed and offer a native Framer Agent connection, set up with npx @framer/agent setup, for Claude Code, Cursor and others. The MCP route found is a community Marketplace plugin that Framer's listing says is not official.
