Does 21st.dev have an official MCP server or Claude connector?

As of October 2026, 21st.dev publishes the 21st MCP (formerly Magic MCP), a remote server at 21st.dev/api/mcp that searches a React component catalog and can generate UI. Setup and code are on its own site and GitHub repo. It uses a 21st.dev API key, and some tools, such as component retrieval and generation, are paid.

What happened to Magic MCP?

It is now the 21st MCP. The @21st-dev/magic package remains as a compatibility proxy, and old Magic API keys were reset.

Is 21st.dev's MCP official?

Yes, it is published by 21st.dev itself, with setup on 21st.dev/mcp and code in the 21st-dev GitHub org.

Is it free?

Getting a key is free and search is free. Component code retrieval and AI generation are paid on the free tier.

Is it a Claude connector?

Not verified. No 21st connector was found in Anthropic's directory; it installs via the CLI, a plugin or a manual HTTP config.
