Notion verdict

As of October 2026, Notion runs an official hosted MCP server at mcp.notion.com/mcp, and Anthropic lists it as a verified Claude connector made by Notion. It uses OAuth and works on every Notion plan, with some features limited to Business or Enterprise. It can create, edit and delete pages. The older open-source npm server is no longer maintained.

Obsidian verdict

As of October 2026, no official Obsidian MCP server was verified. Obsidian ships its own CLI for scripting and agentic tools, but that is not MCP. Community servers, such as MarkusPfundstein/mcp-obsidian, run locally and talk to your vault through the Local REST API plugin using an API key, and can delete notes.
