Slack verdict

As of October 2026, Slack publishes an official remote MCP server at mcp.slack.com/mcp, and Anthropic lists it as a verified Claude connector made by Slack. It uses OAuth with per-tool user scopes, and workspace admins must approve the client. It can send messages and edit canvases, so review permissions before enabling.

Discord verdict

As of October 2026, no official Discord MCP server that can act on servers, channels or messages is verified. Discord's developer docs do offer an official MCP server at docs.discord.com/mcp for searching documentation.
