Does Microsoft 365 have an official Claude connector or MCP server?

As of October 2026, Claude's Microsoft 365 connector is built by Anthropic, not Microsoft: it reaches SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams at microsoft365.mcp.claude.com using delegated Entra sign-in, and an Entra admin must grant consent. Microsoft separately publishes its own Work IQ MCP server for Microsoft 365 data, documented on Microsoft Learn.

Is there an official Microsoft 365 connector for Claude?

Yes, Anthropic's directory lists a Microsoft 365 connector marked Anthropic verified and made by Anthropic. It reaches SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams at https://microsoft365.mcp.claude.com/mcp.

Is the Claude connector built by Microsoft?

No. Anthropic builds and hosts it. Microsoft separately publishes Work IQ MCP, documented on Microsoft Learn.

Which Claude plans and accounts work?

Claude's docs say every plan, but you need a work or school Microsoft account and a Microsoft Entra Global Administrator must grant tenant consent. Personal outlook.com and hotmail.com accounts are not supported.

Can Claude send email or edit files through it?

Claude's docs say write actions (send mail, calendar changes, SharePoint file updates, Teams messages) work only when your administrators enable them. The directory page lists only search and read tools.
